About the Colorado Archaeological Society
The Colorado Archaeological Society (CAS) was organized in 1935 as a focus for people having interests in the history and prehistory of humans in Colorado. Now, with a history of more than 75 years, CAS has nine chapters throughout Colorado, approximately 1,000 members, and has developed many programs, research projects, and activities.
Our Mission
The Colorado Archaeological Society is a non-profit organization committed to the stewardship of archaeological resources in Colorado. We achieve this through public education, research, conservation, advocacy, and enhanced opportunities for responsible participation in archaeology for interested individuals and organizations.
See the State CAS website for Bulletin board announcements, chapter information, newsletter, order publications such as Southwestern Lore, and other topics.
